After this article

You’ll be able to connect Segment to Lumos and manage it alongside your other integrations.

Capabilities

The specific sync and provision capabilities for Segment aren’t documented in the source used to build this article. Check the connector card in Lumos for the current capability set.

Required plan and roles

Connect Segment with credentials generated in your Segment workspace. Create them as a Segment administrator, then enter them on the connector card in Lumos.

Read-only access vs provisioning

Is read-only possible? Yes, and it’s the only mode available. The Segment connector registers no provisioning actions at all, so every connection is read-only no matter what the credential itself is allowed to do in Segment. What read-only requires. Credentials generated in your Segment workspace by a Segment administrator. Follow the steps below to create them and connect. Watch out for. The exact entities this connector syncs aren’t documented yet, so check the connector card in Lumos for the current capability set. Because there’s no provisioning mode to switch to later, don’t plan offboarding or access-granting workflows that need to write back to Segment.

Instructions

Phase 1: Prepare Segment credentials
  1. Log in to Segment as an administrator.
  2. Generate the credentials Lumos will use to authenticate.
Phase 2: Connect in Lumos
  1. Find the Segment card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect an existing card or add a new one).
  2. Enter your Segment credentials.
  3. Click Connect.

Troubleshooting

Connection fails. Confirm the credentials are current and were created by a Segment administrator, then reconnect.
