You will be able to connect PeopleHR to Lumos to sync users, and set PeopleHR as a source of user data.

Required plan and roles

  • PeopleHR role: you must be an Administrator in your company’s PeopleHR instance, or have an administrator share their access with you.
  • Provider: Lumos connects to PeopleHR through Merge.dev. See the Merge.dev documentation for provider requirements.

Read-only access vs provisioning

Is read-only possible? Yes, and it’s the only mode. Lumos connects to PeopleHR through Merge.dev for read-only HRIS sync. It can’t provision or change anything in your PeopleHR instance. What read-only requires. Administrator permissions in your PeopleHR instance, or an Administrator sharing their access with you, then follow the steps below to connect through Merge.dev. Watch out for. Losing Administrator access on the connecting account breaks the sync. There’s no provisioning mode to switch to, because this integration doesn’t support it.

Instructions

Phase 1: Connect in Lumos
  1. Click the PeopleHR card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect an existing card or add a new one).
  2. Click Connect PeopleHR.
  3. Follow the instructions in the pop-up to finish connecting.
Phase 2: Set as a source of user data (optional)
  1. After connecting, set PeopleHR as a source of user data in Lumos and configure your Source of Truth settings.

Troubleshooting

Can’t connect the integration. Make sure you are an Administrator in your company’s PeopleHR instance, or that someone has shared their access with you.
