After this article

You will be able to connect Paycor to Lumos and use it as a source of user data.

Capabilities

Paycor is an HRIS integration delivered through Merge.dev. For the full list of synced objects and fields, see the HRIS Integration Capabilities article.

Required plan and roles

  • Paycor access: You need a Paycor username and password with access to AppCreator. The Developer Portal is available to all Paycor clients, but an HR, Payroll, or Company Admin must create an App Creator account before you can use the API.
  • Merge.dev: Lumos partners with Merge.dev for the Paycor integration. For more on the integration requirements, review the Merge.dev documentation.

Read-only access vs provisioning

Is read-only possible? Yes, and it’s the only mode. Paycor connects to Lumos through Merge.dev as an HRIS sync source. What read-only requires. A Paycor username and password with access to AppCreator, created by an HR, Payroll, or Company Admin. Follow the steps below to connect through Merge.dev. Watch out for. The AppCreator account has to exist before you connect. An HR, Payroll, or Company Admin must create it first, and if that access is removed or the account is disabled, the sync breaks. There’s no write path to add later, since provisioning isn’t supported for this integration.
