Lumos partners with Merge.dev for the Sage HR integration. For more on the integration requirements, review the Merge.dev documentation.

After this article

You’ll be able to connect Sage HR to Lumos through Merge.dev and, once connected, set it as a source of user data.

Capabilities

Sage HR connects as an HRIS integration through Merge.dev. See the HRIS Integration Capabilities article for the functionality this integration provides.

Required plan and roles

  • Sage HR role: you need Administrator or Manager permissions in your company’s Sage HR instance, or someone has shared their access with you.

Read-only access vs provisioning

Is read-only possible? Yes, and it’s the only mode available. Sage HR connects through Merge.dev as an HRIS data source, Lumos syncs employee data from it and doesn’t provision or deprovision accounts in Sage HR itself. What read-only requires. A Sage HR account with Administrator or Manager permissions (or shared access from someone who has it) to authorize the Merge.dev connection. Follow the steps below to connect and, if you want, set Sage HR as a source of user data. Watch out for. Sage HR only feeds HRIS data into Lumos for visibility, Access Reviews, and offboarding elsewhere, there’s no action that creates, suspends, or deletes accounts in Sage HR itself. Check the HRIS Integration Capabilities article for which fields Lumos can read from Sage HR specifically.

Instructions

Phase 1: Connect in Lumos
  1. Click the Sage HR card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect an existing card or add a new one).
  2. Click the Connect Sage HR button.
  3. Follow the instructions in the pop-up that appears to finish connecting the integration.
Once you’ve connected the integration, you’ll probably want to set it as a source of user data. See the Source of Truth documentation for the different source-of-truth settings.

Troubleshooting

Can’t complete the connection. Make sure you have Administrator or Manager permissions in your company’s Sage HR instance, or that someone has shared their access with you.
