Required plan and roles

  • Gusto role: your Gusto account must have Full Admin Access to authorize the connection.

Read-only access vs provisioning

Is read-only possible? Yes. Every connection to Gusto is read-only. The connector syncs users from your HRIS through Merge.dev and does not provision or modify Gusto accounts. What read-only requires. A Gusto account with Full Admin Access to authorize the connection. Follow the steps below. Watch out for. Since this integration never provisions, use it as a Source of Truth for identity data rather than expecting it to create or deactivate Gusto accounts.

Instructions

  1. Find the Gusto card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect an existing card or add a new one).
  2. Click the Connect Gusto button.
  3. Follow the instructions in the pop-up that appears to finish connecting the integration.
  4. After connecting, set Gusto as a source of user data if you want to. See the Source of Truth documentation for the different source-of-truth settings.

Troubleshooting

Can’t connect the integration. Confirm your Gusto account has Full Admin Access, or that an admin has shared their access with you.
