Required plan and roles

  • Personio role: you need Administrator permissions in your company’s Personio instance, or someone has to share their access with you.

Read-only access vs provisioning

Is read-only possible? Yes, and it’s the only mode. Lumos connects to Personio through Merge.dev for read-only HRIS sync. It can’t provision or change anything in your Personio instance. What read-only requires. Administrator permissions in your Personio instance, or an Administrator sharing their access with you, then follow the steps below to connect through Merge.dev. Watch out for. Losing Administrator access on the connecting account breaks the sync. There’s no provisioning mode to switch to, because this integration doesn’t support it.

Instructions

  1. Find the Personio card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect an existing card or add a new one).
  2. Click the Connect Personio button.
  3. Follow the instructions in the pop-up that appears to finish connecting the integration.
  4. After connecting, set Personio as a source of user data if you want to. See the Source of Truth documentation for the different source-of-truth settings.

Troubleshooting

Can’t connect the integration. Confirm you have Administrator permissions in your Personio instance, or that an admin has shared their access with you.
