1
Activate and connect your IdP
Your identity provider tells Lumos who your users are and which apps they use.
2
Configure your source of truth
Your source of truth is usually your IdP or your HRIS, like Workday. User attributes such as manager, team, title, and department come from it, and approvals and access reviews depend on them.
3
Connect your email system
Lumos uses your email provider to find the apps your employees use and to contact requesters and approvers. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are supported.
4
Connect Slack or Teams
Employees can request access and approvers can respond without leaving chat.
5
Configure global settings
These defaults apply across your whole organization. Before launch, set up notifications, your ITSM, AppStore defaults, and branding.

Connect key integrations
Not sure which apps to connect? If you are launching the AppStore first, start with apps that your IdP can’t provision through SCIM. A direct integration adds provisioning and deprovisioning for those apps.
