Using label as an app’s category
label is the only field, so it’s also the identifier. It’s the exact string an app reports in
category on List Apps and
Get App. It’s also the value to send as category_override when
you create a custom app with Create App or change an app’s
category with Update App. A request with a
category_override that isn’t in the list returns 400. The error message lists the valid values.

Listing categories
List App Categories returns categories sorted bylabel. The list is short, but it returns results
in pages like every other v1 list, so follow next_page_token until it’s missing or null. Every Lumos user can list categories.
