# Why do I see more Users in Lumos than there are employees at my company?

After you connect your email provider or IdP, [the Users](https://app.lumosidentity.com/users?tab=users) table may show more users than you have employees. This is because the table shows all users.

As a system of record, Lumos also shows users that are marked as inactive. If anyone leaves the company after you connect Lumos, Lumos continues to store them in the Users table as an inactive employee with No Access.

The table also includes service accounts (which may not be actual employees at your company).

To see only Active Users, you can filter the Users column by Employment Status:
