# Vendr

## After this article

You'll be able to connect Vendr to Lumos to see users, offboard them, and pull in contract records.

## Capabilities

* **List users.** Lumos reads the users in your Vendr instance for visibility and Access Reviews.
* **Suspend account.** Lumos sets the Vendr account to Inactive and downgrades the user to Guest.
* **List contracts.** Lumos reads contracts, line items, and associated documents from Vendr.

## Required plan and roles

* **Vendr access:** an administrator of your Vendr instance.
* **API credentials:** enter the credentials shown on the Lumos connection card.

## Read-only access vs provisioning

**Is read-only possible?** No. Vendr connects with one set of API credentials from an administrator of your Vendr instance, and that same credential set also lets Lumos suspend accounts. No narrower, suspend-free credential is documented.

**What full provisioning requires.** The same Vendr API credentials shown on the Lumos connection card, entered by an administrator of your Vendr instance. Follow the steps below.

**Watch out for.** Suspend in Vendr sets the account Inactive and downgrades the user to Guest rather than deleting it, so confirm that matches what you expect from an offboarding action. The Lumos connection card is what tells you which credential fields Vendr needs, so read the card before you generate anything in Vendr.

## Instructions

**Phase 1: Connect in Lumos**

1. Find the Vendr card in your Lumos integrations.
2. Enter the credentials shown on the connection card.
3. Click **Connect**.

## Troubleshooting

**Connection fails.** Confirm the credentials are valid in Vendr and haven't been revoked, then reconnect.
