# Pingboard

## After this article

You'll be able to connect Pingboard to Lumos to see users in your company directory and to offboard them.

## Capabilities

* **List users and entitlements.** Lumos reads the users and entitlements in your Pingboard company for visibility and Access Reviews.
* **Deprovision account.** Lumos can remove a user, which reclaims their license.

## Required plan and roles

* **Pingboard access:** an administrator who can create API credentials in Pingboard.
* **API credentials:** the connection uses a client credential from Pingboard. Enter it on the Lumos connection card.

## Read-only access vs provisioning

**Is read-only possible?** No. Pingboard uses a single client credential entered on the Lumos connection card, and that same credential is used both to list users and to deprovision them.

**What full provisioning requires.** The same client credential, created by a Pingboard administrator who can issue API credentials. Follow the steps below to enter it on the connection card.

**Watch out for.** If the client credential is revoked or reissued in Pingboard, the connection fails with an "invalid\_client" error, which stops the sync and the deprovisioning capability together since they share one credential. There's no way to disable deprovisioning while keeping the sync active.

## Instructions

**Phase 1: Connect in Lumos**

1. Find the Pingboard card in your Lumos integrations.
2. Enter the credentials shown on the connection card.
3. Click **Connect**.

## Troubleshooting

**Connection fails.** A response like "invalid\_client" means the client credential is wrong or was revoked. Reissue it in Pingboard and reconnect.
