# Device42

## After this article

You'll be able to connect Device42 to Lumos to sync users and groups. This integration is read-only.

## Capabilities

| Functionality | Type | Sync | Provision | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| Users | Account | Yes | No | User account |
| Groups | Permission | Yes | No | Groups |

**Activity tracking:** Supported. This integration syncs each user's last login to Device42.

## Required plan and roles

* **Device42 role:** the user connecting the integration must be a **Super User**.

## Read-only access vs provisioning

**Is read-only possible?** Yes, and it's the only mode this integration supports.

**What read-only requires.** A Device42 Super User account, connected with Hostname, Username, and Password. Follow the steps below to connect.

**Watch out for.** Because Super User is the only documented role for this connector, there's no narrower viewer-level credential to hand it instead. The account you connect with already has full Device42 admin rights even though the integration itself only reads.

## Instructions

**Phase 1: Connect in Lumos**

1. Click the **Device 42** card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect or add new).
2. Provide the **Hostname**, **Username**, and **Password**. Make sure the user connecting is a Super User.
3. Click the **Connect** button.

## API Endpoints Used

<Note>
  The API endpoints this integration uses are available to logged-in Lumos customers. [Log in](/login) to view them.
</Note>

## Troubleshooting

**Can't connect the integration.** Confirm the connecting user is a Super User in Device42, and that the Hostname, Username, and Password are correct.
