# Delinea Secret Server (On-Premise)

*Lumos supports 2 integrations for Delinea Secret Server: **Delinea Secret Server** (on-premise, covered in this article) and **Delinea Secret Server (Cloud)**. The on-premise variant connects through the Lumos on-premise agent and is read-only. The Cloud variant connects directly and supports provisioning.*

You will be able to connect your on-premise Delinea Secret Server instance to Lumos via the Lumos on-premise agent to sync users, roles, and secrets for visibility and Access Reviews.

## Required plan and roles

* **On-premise agent:** this integration requires the Lumos on-premise agent. See the Lumos Developer Docs → **On-Premise Agent** for agent setup requirements.
* **Credentials:** a Secret Server username and password that the connector uses to authenticate (entered as Grant Type, Username, and Password).
* **Permission scoping:** this is a **read-only** integration. It lists users, roles, and secrets but does not provision or deprovision anything in Secret Server.
* **Product scope:** this connector targets Delinea **Secret Server**. The newer **Delinea Platform** product is not supported, even where connector wording may hint at it.

## Instructions

**Phase 1: Deploy the on-premise agent**

1. Click the Delinea Secret Server card in your Lumos integrations (reconnect an existing card or add a new one).
2. Follow the steps in the pop-up to run the agent and download the connector package. Refer to the Lumos Developer Docs → **On-Premise Agent** for full agent installation details.

**Phase 2: Connect in Lumos**

1. In the connection form, enter the authentication details: **Grant Type**, **Username**, and **Password**.
2. Click **Connect**.

## Troubleshooting

**Connection fails or syncs stall:** This integration routes through the on-premise agent. Verify the agent is running and can reach your Secret Server instance before investigating credentials.

**You are on Delinea Platform:** The connector works against Secret Server only. Delinea Platform (Delinea's newer identity-security product) is not supported. For Secret Server Cloud, use the separate **Delinea Secret Server (Cloud)** integration.
