# AppStore Knowledge Base Template

> Publish a ready-made AppStore article in your own knowledge base that explains requesting apps, approving requests and confirming provisioning to employees.

## After this article

You'll have a sample AppStore article template that you can publish in your knowledge base.

Your employees can use this article to learn the AppStore and find answers to common questions.

## How to use this document

* Replace \[COMPANY] with your company name
* Use your knowledge base's embedded video player (if available) to embed the \*`<iframe>`\*sections.
* Replace \[IT SLACK CHANNEL] with your preferred communication channel for software issues/requests
* Replace \[IT EMAIL ADDRESS] with your IT team's contact email address.

## Template

If you need access to software for your job, \[COMPANY] has created an AppStore that you can use to submit these requests instead of creating a ticket.

If you have any questions, contact us in \[IT SLACK CHANNEL] or at \[IT EMAIL ADDRESS].

### Requesting apps

**What's the AppStore?**

The Lumos AppStore gives you a single catalog you can use to request access to approved software you need for your job.

Requests can be submitted through Lumos or Slack.

You can do it through the AppStore, or type “/appstore + Enter” in Slack to kick off a request (please don’t request apps you already have, unless you need more access).

The AppStore will let you know via email and Slack when your request is approved and you have access to your app.

### Provisioning app access
